My name is Jaidyn, and I am currently enrolled in the Criminology Degree program at Thompson Rivers University. Over the past few years, I have become passionate about filling my free time with enjoyable activities. Meaning, that when I am not being a successful part-time business owner, I enjoy filling my time with outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, paddleboarding, and walking my German Shepherd. Not only do I enjoy being in the great outdoors, but I also have a passion for food. When I say that I do not only mean eating food I mean gardening, cooking, and baking from scratch, as well as learning about ingredients that are in our food. Focusing on the ingredients in our foods has taught me healthier foods to fuel my body with, along with other life skills such as how to bake a loaf of bread using minimal ingredients in comparison to store boughtbread.

One thing I have learned over the years is that it is important to have a hobby in your life, but it is also important to make sure that a hobby benefits you mentally, emotionally, socially, or physically.

An example of a chocolate chip cookie that was baked from scratch. Using a simple recipe and switching ingredients out for healthier alternatives (Harrison, 2024).
